The operating problem

Mobility demand has to be served by a finite fleet with different vehicle capacities and operating costs. Routes must respect time windows and service requirements while keeping the overall operation efficient.

What I built

I built SHARE Mobility’s proprietary solution to the rich vehicle routing problem, connecting demand grouping, vehicle assignment, and route planning to real operating constraints.

The engineering work balanced cost, vehicle capacity, and service quality. The solution supported fleet optimization and the wider commuter-planning platform.

Mobility demand→Vehicle allocation→Constrained routing→Operational plan

Operational results

Routing cost fell 40%, fleet miles fell 22%, and driver hours fell 18%, while on-time performance improved by 15 percentage points.

The value was in improving the operating plan across both efficiency and service quality. The public summary focuses on that scope and impact, with proprietary implementation details kept private.
